Grigory Zinoviev
A Bolshevik leader, Zinoviev chaired the Communist International from 1919 to 1926 and led the party in Leningrad. An ally of Stalin against Trotsky after Lenin’s death, he was later convicted in a show trial and executed during the Great Purge.
