Desmond Tutu

A South African Anglican archbishop and 1984 Nobel Peace Prize laureate, Tutu led nonviolent campaigns against apartheid and chaired the Truth and Reconciliation Commission. He advocated human rights and public reconciliation on the basis of his Christian faith.
